VOCATIONAL EVALUATION
A vocational evaluation details an individual's current and future employability and wage-earning capacity. A client's skills and abilities, strengths and challenges, and the current labor market are all considered in determining earning capacity. In California, vocational evaluations may be ordered by the court, requested by one party, or agreed to by both parties. An assessment can provide critical insight in divorce cases and help the parties reach a settlement agreement about support.

The vocational consultant assessed my client's skills, education, work experience, and physical limitations to determine what jobs they could perform. They also provided us with a comprehensive report detailing the earnings potential for each job type, which was extremely helpful in negotiating a fair settlement for my client.
J. H., Esq
As an injury attorney, I have worked on numerous cases involving clients who have suffered from physical injuries that have left them unable to work. In many of these cases, determining the extent of the client's disability and their ability to return to work has been a critical factor in the outcome.
That's why I often seek the assistance of a vocational consultant to help me evaluate the client's work abilities and potential for future employment.
The vocational consultant I have worked with is an expert in the field, with extensive knowledge and experience in assessing the impact of disabilities on a person's ability to work.
Working with the vocational consultant has been an incredibly beneficial experience for my clients and me. The consultant has helped me understand the client's vocational history, education, and work experience. The consultant also conducts comprehensive assessments of the client's physical and mental abilities, including any limitations resulting from the injury.
Using this information, the vocational consultant has identified suitable employment opportunities consistent with the client's abilities, education, and work experience. They have also provided detailed reports that I can use in court to demonstrate the impact of the injury on the client's ability to work and the need for compensation.
Thanks to the expertise and support of the vocational consultant, I have been able to secure favorable outcomes for my clients in many cases. I highly recommend a vocational consultant's services to any attorney handling a case involving a client with a disability or injury affecting their work ability.
C. D., Esq
As a personal injury attorney, I have seen countless cases where my clients have suffered severe injuries that have resulted in significant life changes. In these situations, I must ensure my clients receive the maximum compensation possible to help them move forward.
One of the critical components of any personal injury case is determining the extent of the client's injuries and their impact on their ability to work and earn a living. This is where vocational consultants come in. I have worked with several vocational consultants over the years, and their assistance has been invaluable in helping me build strong cases for my clients.
In one recent case, I represented a client who had suffered a severe back injury in a car accident. As a result of this injury, my client could not continue working in their previous job as a construction worker. Without the assistance of a vocational consultant, it would have been difficult to accurately assess the impact of my client's injury on their future earning potential.
The vocational consultant I worked with conducted a thorough assessment of my client's skills, education, and work experience, as well as their current physical limitations. With this information, the consultant was able to provide an expert opinion on the type of work my client would be able to perform in the future, as well as the potential earnings they could expect.
This information was instrumental in helping me build a strong case for my client and ultimately secure a settlement that provided them with the financial resources they needed to move forward with their life. With the assistance of the vocational consultant, it was much easier to assess my client's future earning potential accurately, and the settlement we obtained may not have been as favorable.
In conclusion, I highly recommend using vocational consultants in personal injury cases. Their expertise and knowledge can be valuable in building a solid case for clients who have suffered severe injuries and need help securing the compensation they deserve.
